Software Developer (Backend) for the Startnext Platform Development Team

We are looking for a Software Developer (Backend) to join our platform development team in Dresden.
Applications from headhunting agencies are not desired.

Your Tasks

• You will develop state-of-the-art web frontends and web apps together with your future colleague Amos, using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• You will ensure quality in terms of browser and device compatibility, accessibility, and SEO.
• You will collaborate with the design and concept team to develop UI concepts.
• Your tasks also include evaluating and defining the portfolio of frontend technologies, as well as documenting and implementing test scenarios (test management).

What You Bring

• At least 5 years of professional experience in frontend development.
• Experience working with libraries (e.g., Bootstrap, jQuery), component-based frameworks like Vue or React, agile software development, Smarty template engine, and Less preprocessors.
• Knowledge of content management systems and experience implementing responsive design concepts.
• Confident handling of version control systems (GIT) and a SEO-compliant, valid HTML structure.
• Ideally, experience in web accessibility.
• You know how to effectively utilize AI tools in your workflow.

Job Details

• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Contract Type: Part-time/Full-time, at least 32 hours per week, permanent position
• Location: Our office is in Dresden; a hybrid work model is possible upon agreement. The platform development team meets at least once a month in Dresden.
• Salary: €45,000–€55,000 gross per year (full-time, depending on qualifications & experience)
• Equipment: You will work with a MacBook Pro.
