News from Angelique Karekezi
Dear esteemed supporters,
Greeting from Rwanda!
I would like to once again thank you for the support you gave us in order to bring the women coffee brand Angelique’s Finest to life. In the interim, please allow me to share with you what are working on in the background:
- January to March: Running the crowdfunding campaign
- January to April: Designing of packaging by Denyse Uwera
- April to May: Harvesting the coffee by the women
- May to June: Procurement of printing services for the packaging
- May to June: Processing of the coffee into green beans by women
- June to July: Production of the packaging material is currently ongoing
- August: Roasting & packaging of the coffee in Kigali
- August: Delivery of the coffee to supporters in Germany
Ordinarily, we would have wanted that processes move faster than this but we faced challenges with finding a perfect printing partner for the packaging material that meets our and your standards. Unfortunately, we only found out quite late that due to the new colours of the packaging, the printing is much more complicated compared to our Café de Maraba packages and unfortunately outside of our control.
Nonetheless, we finally did and the printers are working round-the-clock to deliver the packaging material. All in all, we have our grip and experience on all the above processes and I can talk with authority that we shall serve you to your expectations.
Let me take this opportunity to reiterate my appreciation for your overwhelming support and request for your kind generous patience. I can assure you that the green beans look so fresh and no doubt the roast will be superb.
Warm regards from Kigali
