Eine selbstbewusste, laut lachende junge Frau steht uns gegenüber. Mit knielangem Rock, Afrofrisur und kunstvollen Tattoos an Armen und Beinen. Schon nach kurzer Zeit lädt sie uns zu sich nach Hause ein. Auf einmal finden wir uns in einem Häuschen mitten im Dschungel wieder. Ein kleines, uriges Nest ohne Ecken und Kanten, das von außen aussieht wie ein zu groß geratener, bunter Käfer.
Divyas Mutter ist Französin, ihr Vater kommt aus Deutschland. Sie ist in Auroville geboren, hatte hier eine unbeschwerte Kindheit – nur irgendwann, da wurde es ihr selbst in dieser Musterstadt zu eng. „Ich musste einfach raus!“. Acht Jahre lebte Divya in Frankreich, machte eine Hotelausbildung, studierte Sprachen und Übersetzung. Doch so richtig angekommen fühlte sie sich im „Westen“ nie...
Wir schließen Divya sofort in unser Herz – das Vorlaute, ihr diabolisches Grinsen, ihre unkomplizierte, direkte Art, ihre „typisch deutsche“ Pünktlichkeit – und irgendwann erkennen wir, dass die starke Divya auch eine ruhige und nachdenkliche Divya sein kann. Dürfen wir vorstellen: Unsere erste Protagonistin!
PS: Noch keine Woche, und wir haben schon 1.595 Euro zusammen. Wir sind sprachlos. Und ihr großartig!!!
A self confident, loudly laughing lady is standing in front of us. She wears a skirt up to her knees, an Afro haircut and has artistic tattoos on her arms and legs. After a short time of getting to know each other, she already invites us to her home. Suddenly, we find ourselves in a small house in the middle of the jungle, a small, cozy nest without edges or corners. From the outside, it looks like a giant, colourful beetle.
Divya’s mom is French, her father comes from Germany. She was born in Auroville and had a secure childhood. Just eventually, even this utopian city felt to tight and village-like. For eight years, Divya lived in France, worked in a hotel, studied languages and translating. But somehow, she never really felt at home in the “western world”...
Immediately we take Divya in our hearts – her cheeky manners, her diabolic smile, her direct, uncomplicated way to deal with things, her “typically german” accuracy. But after a while, we realize that there is not only the strong Divya, but also the quiet, thoughtful one. Ladies and gentlemen, we proudly present: Our first protagonist!
P.S.: We’ve been raising money since less than a week, and we’ve already collected 1.595 Euros. We’re speechless. And you guys are amazing!
