From conducting workshops, to performing on various occasions, from managing the technical arrangements to booking the venue and all logistics, the volunteers wholeheartedly participated to make the event a grand success . Finally the day arrived and the stage was set. People visited from all parts of Munich and in total a whooping number of close to 100 registrations were reached. A special art gallery depicting the Indian culture was displayed for the audience at the venue, along with an Indian snacks and beer counter (Indo-German collaborations :) ).

Budding with excitement and enthusiasm, the volunteers all dressed in dashing iconic blue UDAAN t-shirts, were all set to welcome the crowd, who wanted to be a part of this project and wanted to know more about it. And as they say, “The wait was worth it!” The official event started at 19:30 with a bang and an inaugural ‘Ganesh Aaradhna’ dance seeking the blessings of Almighty.

The occasion was graced by Mr. Ramachandran C, Head of Chancellery - Consulate General of India, Munich, who launched the campaign by releasing the first look poster and the official campaign video of UDAAN, enthralling the audience and raising the stakes of eagerness.
To provide an insight into the musical, the team showcased several Indo-German cultural performances, like the famous Bavarian Folk Dance ‘Schuhplattler’, Indian semi-classical dance forms and sizzling, energetic Bollywood dances. After these power packed performances, was the time for an inspirational success story of yet another crowd funded project – ‘Unterbiberger Hofmusik’ by Mr. Xaver Maria Himpsl, who shared his views on his success and the challenges he faced. “Finding the right audience and not hesitating in reaching out to the people in every possible way is what makes the Project a big one”, he concluded. On this positive note, the project UDAAN went live and thus started the campaign!
A live demo was presented to the audience explaining about the rewards, ways to fund and buy the tickets. Soon after the project got live, it received a total of 53 fan followings and its first ever corporate sponsorship of 1000 Euros from an experience based Travel company – ‘Festival N Feast’ www.festivalnfeast.com.
