Auroville's Children - Documentary

Ihr Lieben,

es ist wieder ruhig um uns geworden. Das bedeutet aber nicht, dass wir untätig sind! Unser Film befindet sich mitten in der Festivalauswertung - sobald wir Neuigkeiten haben, wo "Aurovilles Kinder" gezeigt wird, melden wir uns!

In der Zwischenzeit wollen wir euch auf ein Herzensprojekt besonderer Art aufmerksam machen. Unsere Freunde aus Auroville, Surya und Nils, starten gerade ihr erstes gemeinsames soziales Unternehmen "College Curries".

Die Idee: Indische Hausfrauen stellen uns die Rezepte ihrer Currymischungen zur Verfügung. Die Currys werden nach Originalrezept in Deutschland produziert und verkauft. Ein Teil des Erlöses finanziert die Hochschulausbildung der Kinder dieser Hausfrauen.

Vielleicht erinnert ihr euch: Wir hatten die Currys schon im Zuge unserer Crowdfunding-Kampagne als Dankeschöns angeboten. Surya und Nils sind bereits seit ein paar Jahren mit dem Projekt beschäftigt. Die Idee zum sozialen Unternehmen entstand, nachdem die beiden das Curry ihrer Haushälterin Renuka in Deutschland unter Freunden und Familien verteilt hatten und das auf große Resonanz gestoßen war. Heute studiert Renukas Tochter Bhuvana mit Hilfe der Unterstützungen durch die Currys ihren Master of Education in Hyderabad.

Dear all,

we’ve been a little quiet recently, but that doesn’t mean that we’re not working ☺ Our film is in the hands of several film festival comitees at the moment. As soon as we have news about where and when "Auroville’s Children" will be shown, we will inform you!

In the meantime, we would like to tell you more about a very special project. Our friends from Auroville, Surya and Nils, are starting their first social company at the moment. It is called "College Curries".

Their idea: Indian housewives provide us with their recipes of Curry. The Curry spices will be produced and sold in Germany according to their original recipes. A part of the income will finance the college and university education of the children of these housewives.

Perhaps you remember: During our crowdfunding campaign, we offered you these Curries as "Dankeschöns". Surya and Nils are working on the project for several years now. They got the idea of founding a social company after they had given the Curry of their housemaid Renuka to family and friends and got lots of positive feedback. Today, Renuka’s daughter Bhuvana is studying her Master of Education at the University of Hyderabad – thanks to the support through her mother’s Curry.
