As jazzpianist I play solo concerts, mostly own compositions. The repertoire has grown over the last 11 years, now it’s time to present it. “Boomerang” is this result of a musical development as a pianist, from making improvised sound worlds as a child, over studying jazz in Germany and the Netherlands, till diving into free improvisation in Amsterdam. What is this project all about?
This project is about making the production of the piano solo album "Boomerang" possible. It shall be released as CD, vinyl, digitally. Even cassette will be an option.
As jazzpianist I play solo concerts, mostly own compositions. The repertoire has grown over the last 11 years, now it’s time to present it. “Boomerang” is this result of a musical development as a pianist, from making improvised sound worlds as a child, over studying jazz in Germany and the Netherlands, till diving into free improvisation in Amsterdam. By now, I combine these elements into personal, honest music. Join this journey through the crowdfunding!
What is the project goal and who is the project for?
The goal is to finance pre- and postproduction. It's aiming at everybody, who is interested and would like to support the project and the music.
These are the goals:
(5300 € minimal production: CD + vinyl both in super small edition)
6300 €: studio rent 3-4 days incl. sound engineer and piano tunings, booklet, mix, master, physical production of 500 CDs and 250 vinyls.
7500 €: + video production for one song.
8500 €: + salary for my own work.
+ 7% fees (4% transaction fees and 3% startnext fees)
Why would you support this project?
Alone as freelancer musician this is not possible. The production of an album is expensive, and it's not commercial, but personal music, which will take you on a trip.
Until the moment of pressing "Play" though, there's a lot to be done.
There are all kind of thank-you-s available - there's something for everyone.
Of course they can be combined.
Think also about your friends and family!

For all, who organize a live concert in their favourite suitable live venue: free CD/Vinyl.
How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
Shortly put: recording, postprodcution, cover design, physical production of CDs/vinyls.
In details: 3-4 studio recording days, piano tunings, mixing of ca. 11 songs, masters for cd/vinyl/digital, cover + inlay design, pressing of CDs/vinyls.
The music will be recorded in whole takes, so nothing will be cut together, but only real stuff goes onto the album.

Wir haben es fast geschafft! Um noch mehr an Bord zu holen, und auch den Urlaubern ermöglichen mitzumachen, verlängern wir bis Anfang September.
