Crowdfunding since 2010

Reforestation at Bukit Piton Forest Reserve to to save livelihood of the endangered orangutan population and increase the value of a degraded forest.

Brothers Cycling is a nonprofit organization set up to contribute towards conservation projects. Our main project is reforestation at Bukit Piton Forest Reserve, Borneo for the endangered orangutan and wildlife. We started the restoration work in 2017, planting wild fruit and dipterocarp trees in 5000m² with 5 years maintenance. Each tree planted is a living shelter and food source for the orangutan. To date we have planted 40000m² of trees and hope to increase the number to 60000m² by 2021.

Greetings from Borneo. Just a quick update to let you know that we are grateful for the support received so far. Over the last five days since we launched the crowdfunding via Start Next for the reforestation for orangutan habitat in Bukit Piton, we received inquiries and awareness of this project from you. Thank you for your kind interest and we hope we covered as much information as we could on this project.

In terms of the donation, we received CHF1025 from supporters of the project that includes our dear friends, previous guests and new contacts!!!!! Many thanks from the very bottom of our hearts. We have 62 days left to reach our goal of CHF7200 to finance this project.

We have also taken in your suggestions for multicurrency and this is something we are working on (a bit of a process and not as straightforward as we thought it would be). But will keep you posted. Just to share, some of our friends in Malaysia and Singapore were able to donate using their credit card. No donation is too small. If you are unable to assist with the donation, we definitely understand but we would really appreciate if you can help us spread the word on this project!

Thanking you in advance!
