Crowdfunding since 2010

Reforestation at Bukit Piton Forest Reserve to to save livelihood of the endangered orangutan population and increase the value of a degraded forest.

Brothers Cycling is a nonprofit organization set up to contribute towards conservation projects. Our main project is reforestation at Bukit Piton Forest Reserve, Borneo for the endangered orangutan and wildlife. We started the restoration work in 2017, planting wild fruit and dipterocarp trees in 5000m² with 5 years maintenance. Each tree planted is a living shelter and food source for the orangutan. To date we have planted 40000m² of trees and hope to increase the number to 60000m² by 2021.

Dear Donors, Friends , Family across the globe,

Hope all of you are doing well and keeping healthy at trying times like this. It has been about a month since we started the Crowdfunding for the Bukit Piton, the Lost Home of the Orangutan via Start Next. We have about 40 days left to reach our goal of CHF7200. To date we received your collective contribution of CHF1217 via StartNext for the maintenance of the tree project for the orangutan’s habitat at Bukit Piton.

Meanwhile on the field front, the second maintenance work for 2020 took place in early Oct 2020 for a duration of eight days work. Attached is the English translated report from Kontraktor Fajar (the contractor in charge of maintenance work) for your reference. The maintenance work has been verified by the Sabah Forestry Department and as soon as we receive the official written report will upload it on Brother Cycling website for your reference. We thank you once again for all your support.

Much appreciated and well wishes from Borneo,

Simon and Itisha
