My first Artist Book
My photo book is dedicated to the themes of self-determination, trauma and longing. It contains self-portraits and photographs taken over a period of seven years. It is complemented by quotes from over 13 years of collected nightmares, which together with the graphic design form a distinctive visual and narrative language. This narrative from the perspective of a Kurdish-German woman has never before been realized in this form in Germany.

What is this project all about?
For several years I have been exploring the theme of self-determination and identity in the context of migration and oppression. In my poetic visual language, I combine pain with iconographic representations.
The book is still in progress. There may still be changes in the final design realization.
What is the project goal and who is the project for?
The aim of this publication is to use artistic forms of expression to contribute to the discourse on
self-determination and emancipation and to create a deeper understanding of the complex social and complex social and psychological issues that shape our lives.
Why would you support this project?

How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
6.800€ Printing of the book: The funds will be used for the printing costs of the book. Yay, we can publish!
8.300€ Photo Editing & Design: Your support makes it possible to honor the book designer.
8.800€ Lithography: Thank you! Now we can also pay for the pre-press.
