Big DEMIMONDE update my babies!
BIG BOOK NEWS!
We got the moneee!! The final sum after all the fees was transferred to our pitiful overdrawn bank account today. It is 14,728.70 euros. I share it because transparency is important to me and in Berlin, this is an unimaginable amount of monee. We will need every single penny to make and ship the book, and we probably still won't break even. I didn't build any profit into the book funding! I am finished with over half the final manuscript and art files now.
I'm in daily communication with the US-based printing house, Gorham, and will upload files to them, send them the deposit and begin working with their design team on the layout by the end of this week. Their turnaround estimate is eight weeks. The book will NOT be ready to ship by December 25, but hopefully by the end of the year.
I will update more as I know more!
