So what's going on?
It has been some time since the last update, and, since we usually post in German, we thought we’d make an own post for all English-speakers out there.
After finishing our Crowdfunding back in December (Thank you to all of our supporters!), we went back to the more practical parts of planning. The post-processing of the crowdfunding got a bit complicated, since Austria and bureaucracy go together like bacon and eggs, which is why it took longer than anticipated.
Currently, we are mainly working on worldbuilding and prop-design. We have a long list of props that have to be made, anything from weapons to keycards. For every prop, we start by working out a general design, which Beni then converts into a 3D-model. These models are
discussed in further meetings until we are happy with the design. Finally, Beni can print and paint the prop. We’ll show off some of our props in future posts, so keep your eyes peeled!
Furthermore, there’s a lot of background info that we are expanding upon. Since we don’t live in the future, we have to invent a broad range of companies, places, events that have happened (or, from our 2019 point of view, will happen) between now and the 2050s. We already have a huge database of companies that will exist in the future, like the elusive HoloTek Corporation. It (and plenty other interesting facts about Nevi) will be the subject of future posts.
Along the way, we have also met many wonderful new people interested in helping us out with certain parts of our project, like the uprising composer Christian Heschl. If you know anyone who is talented (or just very motivated), feel free to show them our project. We are especially interested in getting to know people who are good at drawing to help us with concept art, or people with manual skills like carpentry. And if you yourself want to help us out, or if you just have any questions, make sure to write us an email!
