Our second album „Foam“ is done and we don’t just want to release is digitally but as a Vinyl-LP as well. Downloadcode included of course.
Vinyl records are a whole, perfectly combining music and artwork.
The different steps like songwriting, arrangement, writing lyrics, practicing and recording, mixing, mastering and creating the artwork smoothly float together in them. Due to its haptic qualities you can easily appreciate all that, simply by putting on the record.
For all the people who helped us during the making of the album, pressing it on vinyl would be the greatest conclusion after all the work that was put into the process.
Of course, in the end, it is all about the music. And about us wanting to share it with you and being happy to maybe make you happy with it. Whoever loves bands like The Notwist, Björk, Efterklang, Joasihno or Lali Puna will appreciate „Foam“.
The best reason might be the appeal of our music.
Besides that Electric Ocean People are an independent band whose music is created and published through a network of close friends. The whole production of the album was done by people who acted without any constraints whatsoever. There were no aesthetic regulations by any label as the band is part of their own. Every decision and all responsibility lies in their hand to one hundred percent. Whoever supports the pressing of the album also supports such free structures at the same time.
„Foam“ will be pressed on vinyl as fast as possible and be shipped together with the rewards. All money surpassing the funding goal goes the people involved in the album production.
