Ein paar Gedanken über die Entstehung des Kalenders…
Zuerst kam mir die statische Linie in den Sinn, als Sinnbild für das staatliche Schulsystem.
Daraufhin war der Weg zur freien Linie, für das demokratische System, nicht mehr weit.
Eine statische Linie die von freien Linien umringt wird, hat mir mehr zugesagt, als eine konkrete Darstellung, die weniger für den freien Kopf bereit hält.
Einfache und ursprüngliche Grafikelemente sind Hinweise auf die simple und gleichzeitig komplexe Realität der Natur, also auch des Menschen.
So wie auch der Film auf die Urbedürfnisse des Menschen eingeht: Frei leben zu können.
Ich wünsche allen einen guten Start für 2016!

Some thoughts about making the calendar…
I thought that a static line would serve well as a metaphor for the state education system.
It wasn’t a huge step from there to imagine a freehand line as representing the democratic system.
A static line that is surrounded by free lines seemed more appropriate to me than a figurative representation that leaves less room for free thinking.
Simple and primary graphic elements point to the simplicity of natural reality, as well as its simultaneous complexity. Just like with human beings. And like the way the film deals with people’s very basic need to live in freedom.
