We are Funky Worship and, just as the name says, we want to fire up the worship genre with some funk and soul tunes. For over a year now, we‘ve been releasing weekly covers of popular worship songs. In our first year, we recorded 47 songs within 11 studio days, followed by more than 1000 hours of production time while working with 18 different musicians. As you can imagine, this requires a lot of time, money and lifeblood. In order to keep on doing that, we need your help!

What is this project all about?
With the money from the crowdfunding campaign, we want to finance the production of the next 10-14 songs and organize a concert in Dresden.
What is the project goal and who is the project for?
Financing the next album and giving a concert according to hygiene guidelines.
Why would you support this project?
You can make it happen that the blend of worship music and funk/soul reaches an entirely new audience.
We will release those songs on YouTube on a weekly basis and also make them available on Spotify for free.
During this difficult time of COVID, we furthermore want to plan a concert that is supposed to take place in Dresden in early 2021.
The safety measures entail significant additional work and expenses which we want to compensate with the help of crowdfunding.
How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
We will borrow technical equipment and microphones and, as we did during the last two recording sessions, record video and audio ourselves.

Following this, Arian will mix and master all the songs and edit the videos like he did with the last songs. Of course, this requires some equipment and a lot of time.
Who are the people behind the project?
We are a collective of Christian musicians from around Dresden, Germany and we wish to enrich the Christian world of music with funk and soul.
