Dieser Frack kam einst zur Zeit der französischen Revolution auf und war in dieser Form bis ca. Mitte des 19.Jh.s in Mode. Bei GAILLARD VIVANT gibt es ihn nun im 21.Jh. wieder, in gedeckten Baumwoll-Leinen Köper und in Jeans, als ein- und doppelreihige Variante mit großen aufgesetzten Taschen und Innentasche.
