03 Tag 6: Über die Moräne
Wir haben das Innlandeis erreicht! Gestern war ein sehr anstrengender Tag, da wir unsere Ausrüstung über die Moräne transportiert haben. Die Mousse au Chocolat am Abend schmeckte daher umso besser und das Camp erhielt den Namen „Mousse und Steigeisen“. Unser erstes Camp an der Küste mit Blick auf den Johan Petersen-Gletscher haben wir übrigens Ruppert Heim gewidmet.
Das Wetter soll heute und morgen schlechter sein, weshalb wir im Randbereich der Moräne auf besseres Wetter warten werden. Unsere Unterkunft heißt daher „Ruhe vor dem Sturm“.

We have reached the inland ice! Yesterday was a very exhausting day as we transported our equipment over the moraine. The mousse au chocolat in the evening tasted all the better and the camp was named "Mousse and crampons". By the way, we dedicated our first camp on the coast with a view of the Johan Petersen Glacier to Ruppert Heim.
The weather should be worse today and tomorrow, which is why we will wait for better weather on the edge of the moraine. Our accommodation is therefore called “calm before the storm”.
