Crowdfunding since 2010
If you don't keep control of your life, who does? "IRRLAEUFER" is about a young nihilistic generation. It centers around three characters which at one point depend from one another. Each struggles with their own demons, be it greed or cowardliness. And the time drives them always further away from salvation.

What is this project all about?

Synopsis:
Tom lives a settled and relatively carefree life. Until he meets Peter again. Peter might be stupid but he's also dangerous, thus deep in Tom's memory. With Marie in tow, a girl who doesn't talk much, Peter moves in Tom's apartment for "a few days".
Already one day after his arrival Peter confesses to Tom he needs a larger sum of money. Days go by. Peter and Marie spend most of their time in the apartment; Peter in front of the TV and Marie in the bedroom.
One day Tom comes home after a bad day at work and learns about Peter's plan to get money he needs to settle the debts. Tom panics, he doesn't like it, the situation escalates and Peter violently reminds Peter who has the say.
After that Tom seems powerless and he becomes the puppet of Peter's will. Fear paralyzes him, makes him apathetic and easily irritable. When Marie tells Tom the details of her relationship with Peter, Tom realizes the terrifying truth about the course of the coming days. He faces a decision which will decide his fate.

What is the project goal and who is the project for?

The greatest reward a filmmaker can get is to entertain its audience. This film has no other higher goal.

Apart from that we'd like to present „Irrläufer“ on national and international film festivals and get attention of producers and distributors to enable us to work on film projects in the near future.

Why would you support this project?

Lots of reasons!!!!

This film is dark and unsettling and gives a unique and complex view of human nature.

Every young film director deserves a chance to make his first film which enables him to show his skills and creativity. Not every school enables it and regional film funding cannot help everyone either.

Crowd funding gives the filmmakers full creative independence and at the same time teaches them how to responsibly use their financial resources.

And...Moritz lives and loves films!

How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?

Every single Euro covers the necessary and unavoidable production costs.

They are:
Camera, Lights and Grip Rental €2000,-
Art, Costume, Makeup Department Expenses €1000
Locations €1000,-
Food and Transport €1500,-
Post Production €500,-

These are the minimum costs the film needs, any amount above that will add to its quality, both in the production and the post production stage.

The principal crew for the film and the cast are complete. Right now we are handling the full impact of the pre-production: scouting film locations, working intensely on the look of the film with the Art, Costume and Make-up Departments, rehearsing with the actors, and scheduling the shoot. The preliminary shooting date is the first half of November (6 days).

With loads of enthusiasm and motivation we've been able to make it to this point. But the little private money that we have already invested in the first phase, will not be enough to pull it through. We need your help!
