Starting in November the second album will be recorded together with Berlin producer Samuel Jersak in the Studio “Hauptstudio” in Berlin-Schöneberg.
Contrabass player Masataka Koduka will be involved in the recordings; further corporations will be announced..
Jana will stick to her musical roots still inviting her listeners to let go and enjoy the moment, though the production will be more progressive than before.
Her wish is to reach a wider range of listeners with the new album, for example, by getting her songs played on the radio.
But of course Jana wants to reach you first and foremost – you friends and fans, you day dreamers and night revellers, you music lovers and song enthusiasts.
As a self-employed musician without any support of a label or publisher, there is big freedom in writing and recording your music as you like, on one hand. On the other hand, you do not have enough “change in your pocket” to record a professional album. That is why I really appreciate the support of each of you to help make this album happen!
You should also join in…
- because you want to support handmade music
- because you want more of the slowness of just being
- because you really long to listen to Jana’s new songs
- because you really like vinyl , but there is a Jana Berwig vinyl in your collection still missing
Your money will be directly and fully invested in the music production and to pay the work of the people involved!
The funding goal of 7000 Euro consists of:
2000 Euro for pressing CD and vinyl (including cover as well as layout and design)
1400 Euro for renting the recording studio (350 Euro per day, 3 to 4 days are planned)
600 Euro for the mastering of the songs
3000 Euro for paying the producer and musicians
If more than 7000 Euro will be funded… Then a music video could be made for the first single of the album, or the money could be used for the promotion of the album. A release-tour with a band is planned, of course. As you can see, there are lots of ideas to the money to musical use.
Jana- that means “icke” I was born and raised in a picturesque area in the most eastern part of Saxony. I have been living in Berlin for 18 years now and have been making music for over 20 years. Actually, I am a social scientist and have been working for child and youth projects for many years. However, since 5 years my mind has followed my heart and I am working as self-employed musician.
