A thin slit of light falls on a motionless hand in a black, dark room. Suddenly a telephone rings and the person lying on the floor rises with a jolt. Elle has been desperately waiting for this call, a call that could make the difference between her life and her death. Our opera film "La Voix Humaine" unfolds in unconventional images the psychogram of a woman who hangs on the line between helplessness and the last attempt to save herself.
