I want to produce comfy and fair trade clothes for kids.
Embroided by hand the unique garments impress children and parents alike. To enhance the appearance even more, I want to switch to certified organic material.
Until now lisqa has been a One-Woman-Show – however I really would like to grow. To undergo mass-production would not match lisqa’s values at all of “ small, fine and fair”. I’ve searched for a very long time and I finally came up with the perfect match.
Her name is Sophia from Interloom, who specifies in organic certified textiles. In the future I would like to buy my fabrics from her.
Stitch by Stitch is a small tailor work room that is an ideal production site. This Social Business is set up by women who fled from their countries to Germany. As trained tailors they bring excellent sewing and embroidery abilities with them.
That is why I feel that this is the correct way to produce lisqa – it just feels right. The production chain remains very transparent while you will all obtain a fair-trade and great product.
Do you like this idea then support me and the ongoing label development of lisqa.
lisqa is for your children, your friend’s children or for friend’s of friends. It is also for their parents, aunts, uncles, grandfathers, grandmothers and other grown-ups – basically for everyone who like to give away something beautiful. That is why it is important for me to design in such a manner that all wearers and observers enjoy it. Hence, I want to combine the childlike with the minimalism in my designs.
The most important thing for the smaller wearers however is hat the pieces are comfy as well as simple when putting them on and off while also being able to combine them with all their other basics in their wardrobe.
Oh and not to forget – the pieces are all non-toxic are produced in a fair-trade manner. That way you can support a Social Business at the same time as well – hurrey!
……because without your help I wont be able to manage ;)
……because you will gain fair, hand-made clothes as a thank you give away
……because the first 50 supporters will receive an additional Mummy Mag
……because you will see happy kids when they put on their jumpers
……because you stand for quality and sustainability
……because you are fabulous and want to support lisqa and myself
……because you can wrap your most valuable treasures in lisqa and make everyone happy
In order to meet the requirements of the quality standards, non-toxic fabrics need to be ordered and tailors must be paid fairly. These are the first and most important investments.
Lisqa that is me; Lisa, 35 years old, certified social education worker. However life had sometimes different in mind for me and I decided to try out design and hence lisqa was born.
After my two kids, lisqa is definitely my third baby. I have put in a lot of effort, heart time, energy (and to be honest often a lot of patience and nerves) in this project. And yes days where we do not get on that much also exist however all in all I believe we are a great team who want to grow together.
