WE CELEBRATE
VIDEO ART
IN BERLIN

10 Years – 100 Artists

The end of 2018 marks the 10th anniversary of Videoart at Midnight’s engagement with artist moving-image. On the occasion of our 100th screening all the fantastic artists who have been our guests in the last decade are invited to participate in a unique artist film and video art festival, in collaboration with the institutions of the Berlin art scene.

The Babylon Cinema will host a two days program, accompanied by a symposium at Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart – Berlin and Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (n.b.k.), which will address the main challenges and evolutions of the field. In parallel, video installations will be shown at KW Institute for Contemporary Art, the Berlinische Galerie – Museum of Modern Art and the municipal Galerie Pankow. Exceptionally, the archive will be open for viewing at Akademie der Künste, where Wulf Herzogenrath and his collection will be honored.

This unique, collaborative festival of artist moving-image will testify to the international significance of Berlin as creative hub for artists working with film and video. In the last decade Berlin has further established itself as central platform, allowing German and international artists to develop their projects, as well as to put them up for discourse and to expose them to creative exchanges.

We are proud to have contributed to Berlin’s vibrant art scene. This unique event will reflect our longstanding passion/enthusiasm for artist film.

See the whole program with a lot of information on our website: www.videoart-at-midnight.de/festival.

Free admission to all exhibitions and events during the festival (12 – 16 Dec). Please pick up your free ticket for the exhibitions at the festival office, Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße 33.
For all events: Please come in good time; space is limited. No advance booking.
