papers for all - continue fighting to stay
Since the last crowdfunding campaigns for TWAB's Housing-System, several people have made it back into the system.
Thanks to the support of the Housing Structure and other supporters, they had the chance to hold on and stay in Bremen until their struggle was successful. After years of insecurity, it is great in every single case that people finally achieve what they have been fighting for so long! Finally making (small) dreams come true....
The struggles of each one are the struggles of all!
We want to share this positive news with you! At the same time, we continue to fight alongside those who still need the housing structure because they are still waiting for court rulings, because documents are doubted and reviewed at length, because their court cases are dragged out. Activists* are anxious and waiting for years while continuing their fight to stay.
It is an incredible burden to not give up hope for so long, to not go crazy or despair because you don't know if this fight will pay off in the end.
Because some of us are fighting in the front line, every day.
Let's support and stand together: Solidarity means: Action!
We will continue until the other activists have also won their stay in Bremen. The people in the housing system will not give up.
We have experienced how strong we can be when we stand together. Being in solidarity with each other and with so many people from Bremen gives us the energy to continue this struggle. We have seen what can be changed if we do not give up, but take our protest to the streets.
People are still out of the system, which means they no longer have access to medical care, housing and food. They are now staying with people in solidarity to avoid homelessness.
We raise funds to pay for these basic needs. Even when lawyers are hired, it takes an incredibly long time to make progress for people - in order to be able to stay in Bremen for the duration of these processes, and still not live destitute on the streets, we urgently need your donations!
