We can order the first olive oil in Greece and send the thank you packages.
We spent a total of six months on Lesbos in Greece in 2019 and directly experienced the situation of refugees on the island. We were shocked that people in Europe have to live under such undignified conditions. We want to help change that. That's why we donate five percent of the sales of each bottle of Pouli olive oil to 'Medical Volunteers International'. This Hamburg-based aid organization provides basic medical care for refugees in Greece and is funded exclusively by donations - now including ours.
We found the perfect organic olive oil for Pouli in the region around Kalamata in Greece. There we met small farmers and producers of high quality oil. We tasted their olive oil, used it extensively and were completely delighted. So we decided to import this delicious oil to Germany under the name Pouli.
We were particularly convinced by the purely organic cultivation method, the traditional harvest and the natural processing on site. The olives are harvested by hand and then cold pressed using purely mechanical methods. This preserves the secondary plant substances. At the same time, this ensures an outstanding quality that you can taste. Of course, the farmers receive fair compensation for their work.
Our goal: We want to offer a high-quality, particularly delicious organic olive oil. At the same time, we want to help improve the situation for refugees in Greece.
Organic farming and fair payment for small farmers are basic requirements for us. Likewise, that we make a positive difference on the ground for those who are currently dependent on the help of others.
We will offer the Pouli olive oil through our online store. In order for more people to enjoy it, we would also like to see it in the health food store around your corner.
Our long-term goal with Pouli is to establish a social-food-brand that supports a social project with every product.
Our target group: are all those who love fresh, delicious olive oil. Those who are also into organic, fair and social are of course most welcome. But it was and is important to us that Pouli also convinces through its ingenious taste alone.
We humans need an economic system that does not focus exclusively on maximizing profits. When companies focus on environmental awareness, fair working conditions and social responsibility, they can have an enormously positive impact on people and nature.
The more companies operate according to ethical principles, the better. With Pouli, we want to join those companies that are already doing this.
First and foremost, those who think this is good and share our values will certainly support us. But also those of you who just want to have more really good olive oil are more than welcome to join.
The contacts with the manufacturers in Greece have been established and an agreement has been made with the Hamburg-based aid organization "Medical Volunteers International". In order to continue, we need you.
By buying one of the thank-you-packages you support us to order the first olive oil in Greece and to build up our online store.
