I'm a physicist and currently PhD student in theoretical Astrophysics at Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research. I studied Physics in Würzburg and Earth and Environmental Science in Ann Arbor and have lived a few years in Argentina, Canada and India. The exchange with different people and my own experiences as a single mother made me realize how important an inclusive environment in science is and that this is by far not reached yet. Therefore I started volunteer work for equal opportunities in science, at the moment mostly as board member of the German Physical Society's working group on equal opportunities and with the Lise Meitner Society, which I founded with a few colleagues.
