Since my youth I have been drawn out into the world as often as possible - mostly alone with my camera off the beaten tourist routes. I see myself as a traveler who is open and curious about new things and encounters. Without a conscious plan behind it, I was drawn further and further to the southeast until I found my purpose in Central Asia. For more than 10 years I have been traveling to the region as often as possible, documenting traditions and everyday culture. In 2017 I initiated the founding of the KultEurasia association, of which I have been the chairwoman ever since. With the association, we invite artists from Central Asia and the South Caucasus to various events. My current project deals with the culturally rich and scenically beautiful high mountain country of Tajikistan.
