Dimitris Argyriou completed his studies in Audio Visual Arts dept. at the Ionian University (Master of Arts) and at Berlin University of Arts (Universität der Künste Berlin, UDK-Berlin).
He has been working as a freelance film director & editor in Berlin for 13 years. He works as an agent for film festival strategy and directs various short films, documentaries and music videos.
As a director, Dimitris Argyriou has participated in Berlinale Talents, Sarajevo Talents and the Talent Development Campus of the Cork Film Festival among others, he was often selected as a resident artist and was involved in the conception of many film programs .
Dimitris Argyriou made 10 short films that have won more than 100 awards and have been shown at more than 1,000 international film festivals such as Cannes, Berlinale & Sundance. They were broadcast by many television channels such as Sundance Channel, MDR, ZDF, ERT, Canal +.
Dimitris Argyriou has also been a curator at many international film festivals. He speaks Greek, English and German.
