Fracto e.V. is a cultural association founded in 2017 by Giuseppe Boccassini.
The association produces and organizes annually FRACTO Experimental Film Encounter at Kunsthaus ACUD in Berlin, a film festival dedicated to the recognition and relevance of avant-garde and experimental film practices.

Giuseppe Boccassini is an Italian filmmaker mainly working in Germany and Italy.

By transforming and manipulating various sources of archival material, his work reflects upon the notion of proximity in contemporary media.

He studied film theory at the University of Bologna and film directing at the New University of Cinema and Television located in Cinecittà, Rome. His work has been shown at several international film festivals and exhibitions, including FID Marseille, Edinburgh International Film Festival, Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival, Torino Film Festival, FESTACURTAS BH (Brasil), Crossroads SF and others.

His documentary feature, ragtag has premiered at the 79th Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica di Venezia in competition in the VENICE CLASSICS – Documentary on Cinema section.
Light Cone Paris distributes his entire film production.

He is in charge of programming at Fracto Experimental Film Encounter.
