Jan Peschel, born in 1991, studied film and media science in Mainz. In 2018, he graduated the master program “Filmculture: Archiving, Programming, Presentation” at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University in Frankfurt. From 2014 to 2015 he was head of festival at FILMZ – Festival des deutschen Kinos, part of the selection committee. He curated programs, e.g. for Open Ohr-Festival in Mainz as well as moderated talks and panel discussions. As freelancer at the 19th edition of goEast – Festival of Middle- and Eastern European Film he assisted in Organization and Marketing.
Starting June 2019, Jan Peschel is Head of Management and Organization for goEast.
