Hello I am Iara a film student at Hochschule Darmstadt. currently in her 5th Semester. My interest in film started with an internship at "Chris Creatures Filmeffects GmbH" in which I was able to get a deeper look into the world of special effects and a first experience on the set of a Netflix production. Coming from an animation background I have a strong interest in mixing different film mediums and going a bit more experimental.

My last project was Vollrausch, in which I started out as creative director but shifted to overtaking Production towards the middle of the project. All in all I have been mainly working in the art department of several university projects and really enjoying the given creative freedom to influence and create a coherent look and feel of a film through all elements in front of the camera.

Now I am finally directing my first short film, which is extremely exciting as I am very passionate about the topic and story.
