I like sustainability and I think it is our generation's responsibility. When I trace the story of my ideas about sustainability I go back to before my own birth. But, to make it short, I understood on the way that sustainability is a harmony of systems with one defined purpose: Foster wild-life. Why? Because I believe wild-life sustains the planetary system in which the climate runs. For me is that simple. However, getting there requires to accept the unmeasurable complexity behind the path to systemically foster wild-life amidst a vast number of human systems that optimize a very different goal: to develop economically. I made it a career decision to strive for sustainability, and Hilo is a large try, experiment, or attempt to systemically foster wild-life by first accepting the complexity behind it.
