My name is Elenora Pertz, and I am an Italian-American pianist based in Berlin.
My professional life up to this point has focused on collaborating with classical singers as a performer and vocal coach. I have performed extensively throughout Europe in venues such as Wigmore Hall, Musée d’Orsay, Oxford Lieder Festival, to name a few.
I am the founder and artistic director of Lied the Way e.V., the first organization to empower and network female pianists in the art song world, and raise awareness for the glass ceiling in our profession. In July 2024 we will have our third workshop, hosting nearly 40 female Lied artists in the heart of Florence, Italy.
As a pedagogue I am the head of the Lied department at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen, where I inspire young Lied Duos to find their unique interpretations in a wide variety of Art Song repertoire.
My work with women and particularly female singers in the classical music industry led me to recently become certified as a Menstrual Cycle Coach, to help female artists create lives more attuned with their natural biological rhythms.
In my art and work I strive to combine expertise with authenticity and empathy.
I hope you will check out my work and consider supporting my latest project, TERRA!
