Philipp Rhensius is a writer, musician, sociologist, musicologist, editor, dj, radio host, label founder, poet and curator from Berlin. His work is driven by the idea that „feeling the chains“ is the moment when emancipation begins. His texts are published in renowned publications such as Taz, Spex, FAZ, Neue Zürcher Zeitung, WOZ and several book volumes. For him, text, but also music and sound are seismographs of today and tomorrow and offer insights into a new, multi-layered, non binary world. While his music projects Kl.ne, aphtc and INRA explore the realms of drone, dub and sonic fiction, his spoken word project Alienationst connects visceral sound with sardonic poetry. With his music label Arcane Patterns he attempts to brings forward the idea of affirming the music as an emancipatory tool.
