Sophie Meierhofer is an enthusiast for nature, environmental protection and people. She is an ambitious, versatile team player with a passion for bringing positive change to our society and contributing to a more sustainable future. Her motto in life is "Let's be ECOcentric instead of EGOcentric".
Born and raised in Klagenfurt, Sophie studied law at the Karl-Franzens-University in Graz. After successfully completing her studies, she completed her judicial internship at the District Court and Regional Court of Klagenfurt as well as the Family Court in Villach and started her career at a leading international law firm in Vienna. Although Sophie was very successful in her practice, legal work did not fill her up and she was looking for an alternative. In 2016, she moved to South Africa for 1.5 years to study international environmental law and sustainable development. Upon her return, she ended her legal career and relocated to Zurich with her partner, where she was one of the first employees to successfully help build a Zurich start-up. She left as "Head of Partnerships" in December 2021 to complete a 3-month internship with the Zero Waste Pioneers of Zurich and prepare for the launch of Kleine Freiheit unverpackt. Sophie is passionate about the circular economy and has advanced training in Sales, Circular Economy and Circular Design Thinking.
