I'm Tim, 39 years old and grew up in the beautiful southern Palatinate. Even as a teenager, I was very interested in bicycles, but then decided to train as a car mechanic.
Immediately afterwards, I completed my Abitur (high school diploma) and intended to study. Even while I was still at school, the plan changed. After a few temporary jobs, I completed my training as a master bicycle mechanic.

In 2005 I started my own small bicycle workshop.
I had to close it again four years later for family reasons and then worked in truck production for ten years.

During this time I made the first standing attempt with 44elf velos.art. Through a fancy report at mtb-news.de you bought me completely empty within two days. A two-week special vacation was not to be avoided, in order to be able to supply you the products in time.

In 2015 I made the decision to study mechanical engineering part-time after all.

After successfully completing my bachelor's degree last year and starting a new job in Heidelberg, I took another look at your feedback from back then.

This motivated me to start an improved version of 44elf for you.
