Pussy Pairs aka Mumury aims to raise awareness for the topic „vulva“, normalise it, contribute to the dissolution of associated myths and taboos and encourage an open dialogue about the cause of aesthetic doubts and paralysing shame and the way the female* genital is handled on a social level. Keeping quiet is not a solution because it keeps affected people in a broader context from pointing out injustice, from reporting assaults and from demanding the respectful, sexually-fulfilling or medical treatment they deserve. Put an end to heteronomy and objectification through the male gaze. More self-love and sexual autonomy instead.
Pussy Pairs is not only an amusing icebreaker, but is also suitable as visual aid for sex education purposes. The game aims to encourage a rethinking of the way society handles the topic vulva and how it could be better. Target groups are teenagers during sex education, but also adults when it comes to an unbiased approach to sexual development and autonomy.
The game aims to raise awareness artistically for topics such as sexual and bodily autonomy and womxn’s rights, and counteracts trends of aesthetical surgical labia reduction. A primary focus, moreover, lies on female genital mutilation (FGM), which worldwide affects about 200 million girls and womxn. Your support will help to publicly broach these issues and will contribute to causes for womxn’s rights, as a percentage of the proceeds of each game sold will be donated.
The first funding goal of 3210 Euro contains the printing costs of Pussy Pairs and the fees for Startnext. The second funding goal of 5350 Euro includes transfer and delivery costs, design of cover and game layout, translation and advertising as well as the fees for Startnext. If the game is successfully funded, you will be responsible for spreading the topic of the vulva and for future donations to womxn-oriented causes. So, spread the word and spread the vulva!
