Church steeple rescuers wanted
The Stöbnitz church tower, which points to the village from afar, is dilapidated. It has been robbed of its spire, the tower knob. No weathercock greets the land anymore. Rain, snow and pigeons penetrate it. During heavy rain, rainwater drips down to the former organ loft. The tower must be urgently renovated in accordance with the preservation order to avoid further damage and to be able to use the former church as planned for art, culture and, if desired, for church services.

What is this project all about?
The goal is to obtain the funds to secure, waterproof, and restore the steeple in a manner appropriate to the monument, i.e., with slates, restored steeple knob and weathercock - and a box for the homeless kestrels.
What is the project goal and who is the project for?
All who are willing to preserve a cultural monument from the 18th century and fill it with life again. All who are interested that Stöbnitz again gets a living center.
Why would you support this project?
When you buy a dilapidated church, you have to be a little crazy. Likewise, you have to be a little crazy to support such a project. But the project has hand and foot. It should be anchored in the village as a meeting place for art and culture and if it fits also for lived faith.
How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
It all goes into the renovation of the church tower. The renovation is scheduled to take place in 2022.
