Unfortunately, the excursion restaurants on the edge of the forest or the huts located in the forest, to which you can hike no longer exist. Therefore, the solar refrigerator is to create the possibility to provide oneself with a cool drink from the refrigerator. The solar refrigerators should become a meeting point in nature, with friends, neighbors and acquaintances but also for hikers in the region.
A total of three solar fridges are to be set up at scenic vantage points in the municipality. These are self-sufficient and are powered by solar energy.
One location is the quarry at the spring festival site (Frühlingsfestplatz) in Otterberg. Close to town and within a pleasant walking distance, a meeting place has been created here. A cool drink at a common rest embellishes the sociability.
Enjoy the buzzing of the insects, the rustling of the leaves and the mighty towering sandstone wall.
Another solar fridge can be found at a lofty height at the sundial on the Reiserberg mountain. After the steep climb you get rewarded with a magnificent view and a cool drink.

The lack of places to stop for refreshments in remote nature, idyllic places and viewpoints is repeatedly pointed out: If the project gets off to a good start, other locations are being considered for the solar refrigerators, which could also be set up at your favorite spot.
With this project you not only support the vision of enjoying a cool drink in nature, but also the development of an innovative product that could spread throughout the region.
Due to financial constraints of the union community, this is only possible with your support.

If the funding is successful, 2 solar refrigerators will be purchased and placed at beautiful vantage points with seating.
When the first stage goal is reached, more refrigerators will be installed. This way, drinks can be enjoyed in a very special atmosphere.
