For illustration and production of the book.
Everything beyond that allows us to pay all project participants appropriately and to cover further costs.
We want to show many different people, especially those who are rarely or never depicted in the media. For children, representation in books and media is particularly important for recognising themselves and others as a self-evident part of society.
The aim of this book is to depict the everyday mostly unseen realities of life and thereby contribute to changing viewing habits. Our society is multi-layered and that is how we want to show it.
...It's about inclusion, diverse lifestyles, removing barriers, empowerment, commonalities, strengths, weaknesses, contradictions, possibilities, fun for all generations and a shift of perspectives.
...It's about presenting difference as an ordinary part of life.
This book is for children and adults of all ages. We would like to see it in daycare centres and in waiting rooms. It is suitable for institutions working with children and young people, and of course for families, events offering childcare, school classrooms as well as educational work with an intersectional approach.
All the settings, people and scenes are lovingly thought out. They are taken from our own living environment or are the result of many hours of research. Many of the people involved have sent us suggestions and wishes about what they feel is missing in children's books and media.
And also:
There is a publisher who will bring out the book if it is successfully funded. Your support could make this book available in bookstores everywhere, even internationally!
Primarily, the money will be used to pay the illustrator and the public relations, in order to guarantee the realization of the book.
If we reach further fundings, the author will be paid and further costs around the project covered.
