The UND (AND) is a magazine, an idea, a platform, our dream, a collection, and a community project. We have dedicated the first issue to Die Bäckerei - Kulturbackstube. Now out into the world - the second issue runs under the motto: Structure AND Chaos. For the realization of this issue we need YOUR HELP! What is this project all about?
Different perspectives, approaches, and solutions for the same subject - AND all of them are allowed to exist next to each other - that's what we want, not only for our magazine.
We want:
- to bring people together
- to encourage exchange
- to motivate everybody to participate
- to see no CVs and no portfolios
Our subject this time:
Is chaos beautiful or incredibly terrible? Is it necessary, does it require development? Is it everything at once? Does chaos exist without structure and vice versa? Everything is possible within chaos, and nothing of it is comprehensible without structure. What is the meaning of these terms in your everyday life? How do they influence your actions? Which challenges do they cause? Is it luxury to be able to think about these questions? What are the hidden potentials behind order, and behind chance?

The UND is a child of the Bäckerei - Kulturbackstube.
The Bäckerei sais of itself it is "a lively platform for cultural and social exchange. It is a space that emerges through its users and makes them the dynamic core the organization" .
The UND transfers this idea of a platform for people from a building to a print format. The goal is to provide people who have something to say or to show with a platform. We want to create a low threshold access to subjects that influence or should influence our daily lives. So everybody?

How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
We use your Euros for:
- the realization of the second issue
- printing costs
- the financing of all participants (editorial team, layout, illustration, photography, copyediting, communication, organisation)
- not to be underestimated: shipping costs
Who are the people behind the project?
Die Bäckerei – Kulturbackstube
Die Bäckerei is an open house. We have events, workshops, and talks. Collectives, associations, and artists work in their studios and offices. On the first floor we have a co-working space. And we are starting a consulting format.
Die Bäckerei is a non-profit association. Our team is organized in a non-hierarchical way - we are all equally entitled to speak and decide and everyone of us is responsible for his/her working area. There is no leading authority. Decisions are made communally or self-responsible.
