We are the ladies and men's team of Studentenstadt Rugby e.V who want to participate at the Dubai 7s, which is an international rugby tournament in Dubai. There the ladies and men, in teams of 12, will be able to go up against over 200 teams from around the world. And show them we mean business! We are procuring 100% of the finances needed ourselves and would love your assistance. Help us on our way to Dubai.

What is this project all about?

The ladies and men's team of the StuSta Rugby e.V, a rugby club from Munich, is taking part in the international Dubai 7s rugby tournament. This tournament is one of the largest rugby events of the year.
At the professional tournament world class rugby teams are showing of their Rugby 7s skills in front of 40000 enthusiastic Spectators.
At the same time an invitational tournament with more then 200 teams from around the world is taking place on pitches around the Stadium.
The player level varies from international selections to small amateur teams like us, the StuSta.
All teams have one thing in common: they LIVE for rugby. To be part of such a large and famous tournament is is a unique opportunity for us to go up against international teams and develop ourselves. This is worth every single pushup, every burpee and every sprint training for us.

What is the project goal and who is the project for?

Our crowdfunding campaign is directed at all friends and fans of rugby that are kind enough to support our Dubai 7s dream.
With the participation at this international tournament the players of StuSta have the possibility to take a huge step for their development and the development of our club.
With your support you can ensure that 7s rugby in Germany will get more recognized, gain popularity and increase in professionalism.

Why would you support this project?

With over 100 active members StuSta has become a second family for many. In recent years our ladies and men's team have celebrated numerous successes. The skill development in our 7s teams has lead to some of our players playing for the Bavarian selection team as well as the German national team. A participation at the Dubai 7s gives us a chance to take the next step for the development of our team.

How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?

All of the raised money will directly go towards the financing of our participation at the Dubai 7s, to cover the costs of the trip, shelter and provisions.

Who are the people behind the project?

The 7s Rugby players of Studentenstadt rugby munich stand behind this project. The teams are overseen by Nina Gras and Martin Schlemmer since 2012. They are sports scientists and licensed coaches and both have years of experience with coaching 7s rugby.
Since starting in Munich the vision is to give players the chance to practice their sport in a physically and mentally challenging environment.
The next logical step of this vision is the participation at a top international tournament to compete at the highest level.
