"Behind Doors" (original title: "(T)Räume") attempts to take a closer look at what is going on inside a young father who is in a vigilant coma and slowly regains his memory through drawings his little son continues to put into his hospital room.
The visual concept of this short film aspires to put something as impalpable as being in a coma and the process of remembering things one had forgotten into moving pictures and onto a screen.
"Behind Doors" (original title: "(T)Räume") is meant for everyone willing to go on this young father's emotional journey that will hopefully lead him back to his son in the end.
"Behind Doors" is a short film that might inspire those watching to take a moment after seeing the credits roll to remember who and what really matters to them.
As young filmmakers we are currently facing the challenge of creating a set that is a safe work place during the coronavirus pandemic. On one hand that requires a lot of planning, on the other hand it presents us with financial issues. To keep everyone as safe as possible – which is our top-priority – we need to buy enough cleaning and disinfection solution, disposable gloves, masks and much more. To make that possible financially, we are dependent on your help – we would appreciate it more than you know if you were able to support us in creating a safe place on our set regarding coronavirus.
The money we are raising through this crowdfunding-campagne will be used to buy cleaning and disinfection solution, disposable gloves and masks.
If the amount raised is more than we need to buy said things we will invest whatever is left in the production of this short film in other places.
We promise that every single Euro raised will be used to finance solely this project.
We are a small team of four film students: our director Maurice, our DoP Ron, out cutter Solmaz who will also be working in Script / Continuity on set and Hannah, production manager and 1stAD.
Of course we are only able to make this short film because of the people on the team that we have assembled and who is going to be on set with us.
