Thank you for a happy Christmas.
It's the last day of Christmas 2012 and we are on a trip around Germany to meet the whole family until we will return to Clausthal to celebrate the new year.
Usually Christmas is a time for presents and of course a time to say thank you as well. This year there are many reasons to do so, since we received so much from you - the people of the TYPO3 community: We got more than 2000 downloads in the TER, 186 Fans of our Grid Elements project at startnext and 92 sponsors who bought one of the features or just gave different sums of money to support the project.
The overall feedback was almost completely positive and during the last weeks we had a lot of inspiring talks about TYPO3, our extension and about crowd funding and how closely it matches the idea of open source.Finall y we did not just manage to reach the goal but got even more than we actually expected, which is a really motivating experience. After all it shows us that we are on the right track and you sponsors have confidence in the capabilities of our team to deliver the features and fixes we promised.
The first promise we have to keep is: We will withdraw our application for a supplemental budget by the T3A as soon as we received the final amount from startnext. Second will be to prepare the goodies for the feature sponsors - still discussing the t-shirts design though ;-) And last but not least we will have to deliver an improved Grid Elements 1.4 as well as the new version 2.0 until end of January.
So there's a lot of work to do, but you give us the feeling that it is worth all these efforts.
