Crowdfunding since 2010

We offer you the opportunity to participate in a sustainable energy and climate project - and try it out right away!

Try living in a Tiny Home in the French village of Brach - midst pine forests between Bordeaux and the Atlantic coast! Besides freedom and creativity, a Tiny Home also means ecological sustainability. Not as much space, even if smartly furnished, also means less energy consumption. To give you a real feel for living in a Tiny Home, we give you the opportunity to try it out! Where better than on vacation? Try it out with us!

What is this project all about?

Our Tiny Home will be 25m2 and can accommodate 2 to 4 people. The large window and the terrace will enlarge the small living space towards nature. A 20m2 terrace belongs to the house. The Tiny Home is located in the middle of two hectares of pine forest on a property with many animals: A donkey, chickens, a dog and a cat.
"Less is more" has proven itself many times. But many people still associate this motto with dispense. We have set ourselves the goal to change exactly that! With our Tinies we want to realize living, working and vacation in the smallest possible space. We want as many people as possible to experience what it's like to live and work in a Tiny Home and to spend their vacation in a popular region.

What is the project goal and who is the project for?

Whether small or large, young or old, single, couple or family, a Tiny Home can be an experience for everyone and every situation. In a Tiny Home you live closer to nature and you get to see what is happening outside, feel the warming sun or hear the soothing patter of the rain.
Our Tiny Home is meant to give you the opportunity to get a feeling of what it's like to live in a Tiny House. So that as many people as possible realize how little space you actually need to be happy.
And of course everyone who knows and loves the Médoc, the popular wine and coastal region, the village of Brach and of course Jutta and Manu.

Why would you support this project?

Is a Tiny Home an option for year-round living for me? Or could a Tiny Office in the garden be a good working environment? Or an ideal weekend cottage in the countryside? If you can imagine these options, you should take advantage of the opportunity to test live in a Tiny Home!
To be honest: Tiny Homes do not only have advantages. For example, mobility and flexibility can't really be played out in Germany due to the legal situation. And whether the concept of "minimalist and inexpensive" living within one's own four walls really meets one's personal requirements and needs is something one has to try out first.
This is exactly where we want to start and offer the possibility of a test living with our Tinies. Where better than on vacation? The future Tiny Homes are located in the middle of pine forests not far from the Atlantic Ocean, which makes every surfer's heart beat faster. Brach is located between Lacanau Océan, the famous vineyards of the Médoc and the popular city of Bordeaux.
Why do we do it? We don't want the Small House Movement trend to be just a flash in the pan that soon dies out. We want to spread the idea of Tiny Homes and bring it to a wider audience. Because we find Tiny Homes an ecological alternative to live creatively, sustainably and self-sufficiently, to work or simply to spend vacations.

How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?

We are building a Tiny Home of about 25m2, providing everything a person needs for a wonderful vacation or a longer stay for writing and working. Each Tiny Home has a light-filled main room with large sliding windows that open to the garden and the pine forest beyond. The interiors have tasteful furnishings, comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, a nice dining table that doubles as a desk, a comfortable sofa for lounging, books for browsing, internet for those who want to keep in touch with the outside world. In front there is a terrace for the warm days with dining area, garden chairs, hammock and barbecue. And all this in the middle of the pine forest for long walks.

Who are the people behind the project?

Jutta, Manu and me, daughter Claudia. Jutta and Manu have lived in Brach for more than 30 years. A small French village between the Atlantic coast, Lacanau-Océan and Bordeaux. In the midst of pine forests, after a day of surfing, swimming, wine chateau tour or sightseeing around Bordeaux, you can enjoy the tranquility with oysters, Moules Frites or a Soup de Poisson.
