Why this project?
We have been in Albania this spring and have connected deeply with the existing nature and the local people and we have decided to support a sustainable devolpment in this truly remarkable wilderness. To be able to do this it seems to be a vital step to support the local community, as they have been living in this area for a long time, which seems to show itself through a deep respect towards their natural environment
We will head back this summer in order to reach the following three goals:
1. Support the local school
2. Support the establishment of a Mountain Rescue Service
3. Establish some new climbing routes
As they are already local people offering services on the basis of sustainable tourism we feel empowered to support this way of local development. Further information regarding the MRT and the school can be viewed here:

Who is this project for?
- Schools in the valbona valley: We collect goods and funds
- Local people : Support of further development in sustainable tourism
- Mountain Rescue Team (MRT): Further help in installing a running service
Transparency:
- It is very import for us to make sure that the campaign will be transparent for everyone
- This is going to be established through a ongoing documentation with pics and video
- Goods who will be given (climbing gear, outdoor gear) will be distributed directly to the locals
We guarantee the following:
1. A transparent documentation
2. Direct contact to local people will enable us to give the funds directly to the people, without further "cuttings"
3. We give our best and we stand absolutely behind this project
4. Wie are open for further feedback from the corwd
If you want to help to support people in one of the most poorest regions in Europe then get on with it and help us to realise our goal!
What happens with the funds?
We will give at least 50% of the money this campaign makes towards the school in Valbona. The rest is going to be used for the ongoing development of the Mountain Rescue Services and towards some climbing routes - which can also be used for the MRT.
If you have goods like old Laptops, digital Cameras, climbing harnesses, walking sticks, headtorches, backpacks and other "outdoor" gear we sure take it and drive it to Valbona.
Who are we?
We are both keen rockclimbers and lovers of nature. We do use our sparetime to walk and climb in wild places. We work both with young people and adults alike in the social work sector and have a keen interest in work on the basis of empowerment.
It is vital for us to support a sustainable future, especially regarding travelling and outdoor pursuits. This is why we want to support the local community of Valbona. So that this unspoiled place is going to be there for our future generations.
Thanks for your support! Any help is great!
