We produce a virtual reality music video. A unique experience for all music enthusiasts and especially for hearing impaired people.
Music in virtual space also means a playground for creative people. We - WIDE HORIZON FILMS - as a newly founded collective work together with visual specialists: Hearing impaired young people from the "Förderzentrum Hören Augsburg". That's a school for hearing impaired people. We combine music with VR. This creates the feeling of not only hearing music, but also seeing it. You can experience a club feeling at home, or simply immerse yourself in another world.

What is this project all about?
We want to find out how people with sensory impairments, especially hearing impairment, can find access to music. Here we work closely with the "Förderzentrum Hören Augsburg". That's a school for hearing impaired kids and teenagers.We produce a music video that can be experienced in virtual reality.
What is the project goal and who is the project for?
A target group in our concept are hearing impaired people. For and with them we produce the VR video.
We offer an aesthetic experience in virtual space to all those interested in music. Since you can't go to concerts or clubs at the moment, this is also a digital alternative to get involved in music with several senses.
Furthermore we offer companies and individual exciting workshops, for example as a teambuilding measure.
Why would you support this project?
We want to gain experience how to enable deaf people to experience music in a different way. In the end it is a special experience for hearing people as well. When else can you see music?
In addition, many actors from the creative sector are involved. You are not only supporting us or our project, but also a part of the creative and cultural scene in Augsburg.
How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
For the time being, we use it to pay the bills of our service providers for PR and marketing, which makes such a crowdfunding campaign possible. After that, a large part goes into the production of the visualization.
Who are the people behind the project?
We are WIDE HORIZON FILMS, a young artist collective. Michael Gamböck and Franziska Hauber are motion designers and filmmakers, known for the film Waterdome for planetariums. Tom Simonetti is an electronic musician and DJ for many different bands (Rhytm Police, Das Hobos, H, Hangonauten)
