This is how much it costs to produce the CD itself, without taking into account any preparation efforts! If we reach this, we'll try to dispatch in mid Dec.
A wonderful feature of classical guitar music is that it so effectively harnesses and draws inspiration from a whole range of different musical styles and genres. Our debut CD highlights this, containing a program that is rich in variety, featuring a range of colourful and picturesque works that both challenged and inspired us. This diverse selection of pieces include charming renaissance dances, evocative contemporary Australian music, intricate Brazilian melodies, evocative romantic lines, and even a groovy tango!
On our album we have included pieces by composers coming from 8 different countries - Brazil, Australia, England, Germany, Belarus, the US, Cuba and Canada. We are also proud to have three female composers on our cd - two beautiful romantic arrangements of piano pieces by Clara Schumann and Fanny Hensel, and one energetic and exciting work by US based composer Olga Amelkina-Vera
Playing guitar has been a passion for us since we were all young, and one of our main goals in life is to be able to share our musical ideas, skills and enthusiasm with the world. We believe we have encompassed this into our CD, and hope you have a compelling and enjoyable experience listening to it. The CD is for everybody who is interested in either guitar music or classical music, but we are sure that almost everybody will find something they are going to like!
We put countless hours of rehearsals, dedication and endless determination into being able to offer you an exciting high-quality album that we're sure you'll love. We'd be thrilled to include you in this project with us and as a thank you for your kind contribution we offer a range of exciting rewards for you!
The money will be allocated directly and completely into the completion of our CD.
With your generous support we will be able to finance:
We are four classical guitarists from around the world who met while studying at the University of Music Franz Liszt in Germany, and it is there that we formed the Weimar Guitar Quartet.
We were fortunate to enjoy an exceptional classical music education with the best teachers from Germany, Australia, Slovenia and Spain, and we are also multiple prizewinners of prestigious international competitions.
We have found it really special and rewarding to have met each other and to be able to play together. With complete devotion to music, our goal is to share our ideas, enthusiasm and commitment with a world-wide audience.
