By reaching this goal we are able to do the basic filming for our project. With your help we can pay our actors, crew, equipment and the catering.
The story of the series centers arround the character Wolfgang Doe, an anthrophomorphic wolf, that solves crimes in the city of Stuttgart, Germany.
In his latest case, he wants to find a murderer who kills humans and beasts alike without having a clear motive. When Wolfgangs girlfriend is captured too the case becomes private for the wolf.
The targed audience are all people who enjoy series as a whole and who enjoy the crime genre. Series like Sherlock, CSI or the german Tatort franchise, but also mystery crime series like the X files or Supernatural are good examples here.
We think its a very rare thing for Germany to produce these kind of series as they are often regarded as too special or not good enough to make any money.
But if you take a look at the success of Netflix and Amazon Video with their series it becomes clear, that there is a high interest for these formats. And we as german independent filmmakers wanna create a series that people can enjoy as much as the big productions coming form America.
The main reason for us to collect money is of course the principal photography of our series. There is no way we could manage the whole shoot on our own.
Jens Wernstedt and Bastian Oppel both studied film and media in Darmstadt and Stuttgart. They finshed both with the masters degree. Jens works as a professional cutter for the german television channel SWR and Bastian works as a Media Desinger within a Media Company in Stuttgart.
In 2016 they came together to produce the multi award winning "Mascot Fur Life" a 35 minute Mockumentary about a mascot underdog, chasing his big dream.
