WTF? WANT TRUCK FOOD? is a food truck project that will hopefully soon be on the streets of Frankfurt.
WTF? is a food truck, which will be serving delicious, creative and healthy meals in and around Frankfurt. The recipes are inspired by the West African kitchen and combine ingredients like plantains, sweet potatoes, cassava and okra with the European kitchen.

What is this project all about?
I have been living in Frankfurt for tha past 6 years and realised that it is quite difficult to eat out if you are in to tasty Westafrican cuisine. So I had the idea of starting a food truck. My plan is to bring fresh and healthy street food to people during their lunch break, who crave exotic food.
Since most of my friends and family are used to the European kitchen, I have always been loving the challenge of fusion recipies that are inspired by the Cameroonian cuisine and which caters for european taste buds.
My menu will be made from fresh, local and fair trade ingredients in organic quality.
Another priority of mine is to reduce food waste as much as possible. So a part of my concept is to have a spontaneous menu, using supplies already available. And all excess food will be donated to the 'shelter of homeless people' by CARITAS in Frankfurt.
What is the project goal and who is the project for?
I want to pamper people in and around frankfurt with my delicious and healthy ethnic food. I am targeting everybody who loves good food and doesn't have too much time during their lunch break.
Why would you support this project?
FRESH
- All my dishes will be freshly cooked in the truck
SUSTAINABLE
- The exotic ingredients in my food come from fairtrade and sustainable agriculture and are therefore enviromentally friendly produced, sustainable and supporting farmers and workers as they work to improve their lives and communities
WASTE-FREE
- I will be offering a modest range of food so that the purchase quantity can be calculated easier and waste minimized. Excess food will be donated to the shelter for homeless people by CARITAS in Frankfurt.
HEALTHY
- My food is a healthy alternative to regular fast food, because in addition to using fresh and non processed ingredients I am making sure that they are all free of additives and preservatives. Furthermore the good oils used in my dishes (avocado, coconut, nuts) give my meals a unique taste.
How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
I want to raise money to buy a used Food-Truck, which I can remodel.
I have already managed to gather most of the funds needed for my project. Now I hope to raise the remaining 8000€-10.000€ for a used truck in good shape.
Who are the people behind the project?
My name is Mirrianne Mahn and I am the founder of WTF?
I am a mother of two and a Student in Frankfurt.
The idea to start a food truck came to me when I realised how difficult it was to find good, healthy food with my husband during his short lunch break, if we wanted the food to be delicous and fast.
Now that my kids are older I would like to follow my dream and start a food truck in Frankfurt, so that I can serve my deliciously healthy meals during lunch hours.
Using my exotic menu to bring some Cameroon to Frankfurt.
