Part of the fee for the first phase of the re-design of the Eurozine website
What is the project about?
Eurozine offers a rich source of information for an international readership by providing an overview of current themes and debates in Europe and beyond. By presenting the best articles from its partner journals, as well as original texts, Eurozine opens up a new space for transnational debate.
In order to continue to provide both high-quality content and cutting-edge online technology, Eurozine is planning to further develop its website. The new, improved version of the website will include a better design as well as additional functionalities for readers. First and foremost, a more advanced search engine will be implemented to enable readers to make better use of the Eurozine archive, which contains thousands of articles in dozens of languages. The new website will also increase the visibility of Eurozine partner journals. The website’s new design elements will increase reading convenience.
Who is the target group?
We rely on you, the readers who use Eurozine as a source of information and ideas. Eurozine is a cultural not-for-profit Organisation. Do support us in this campaign if you appreciate our work and want to help us improve our website.
Why should you support this campaign?
If you enjoy rich debates and various opinions from Europe and beyond, then Eurozine is the online magazine you need to read. Eurozine is a unique platform creating a European public sphere and a place for transnational debate. We want to keep content on Eurozine free of charge. At the same time, developing websites is a costly effort. We therefore count on the support of Eurozine's readers in this campaign.
What happens with the money if financing was successful?
The money will be used to co-finance the further development of the Eurozine website. This will include the introduction of a new search engine, as well as several improvements in design and user experience.
Who is behind your project?
Eurozine's team: Béline, Marije, Melina, Réka, Simona, Tina, Filip and Simon. But first and foremost, our strength is the network of cultural journals from all over Europe, and the hundreds of editors that run them.
