Meet our inspiring community as they prototype the future of business
Our members are at the core of what we do. They have the courage to redefine success and aim for meaningful and relevant impact. From education to climate change; from ethical finance to film making, from providing tools to combat eating disorder to building sustainable housing in South Africa, our members are prototyping the future of business. All of our members have one thing in common: they work hard to do good and do well at the same time. They take creative leaps and go the extra mile to make things happen. We believe in the power of social entrepreneurship.
Imagine going to work and being able to meet these inspiring people while you pour yourself a hot cup of coffee. At Impact Hub Berlin we make it easy for you to tap into a network of professionals who are dedicated to doing things better and differently. In the last year, during our proto-hub phase, we curated a powerful community of passionate change-makers who strives to make a positive impact. We believe that a vibrant community is essential for a supportive ecosystem.
Now that we are moving into a bigger space we have the opportunity to offer office spaces for more mature teams. With teams from NGO’s, corporates, research institutions and politics, we are able to host a community that stretches across sectors and enables people to collaborate on a greater level. We believe in the power of working across silos.
Two of our members are offering inspiring workshops in their field of expertise. Anna from GET CHANGED! worked as a fashion consultant, designer and dressmaker. She created a fair fashion network that connects interest groups and informs about fashionable, sustainable and fair consumption. The platform enables you to easily find relevant fashion, brands and stores. Anna also aims to increase transparency about the social and environmental production of collections. Sign up for her Fair Fashion Tour and discover concept stores across Berlin.
Mitzi from About a Board studied media and communications and is passionate about long-boarding. The moment she stepped on a board she was addicted to the feeling of freedom. She wants to empower people, especially girls and women, to learn how to long-board and feel strong and free. She is building a website with information and inspiration for cruiser-girls. In the future she aims to integrate female skate wear and product design into her portfolio. Sign up for her Longboard Workshop and learn to cruise on Tempelhofer Feld.
